| Illyria House - a unique overnight experience |
Set in one of Pretoria's (Tshwane's) most exclusive suburbs and inspired by Shakespeare's 12th Night, is the unique boutique hotel Illyria House.
Here visitors step back in time into a treasure-trove of fine art, seventeenth century tapestries and antiques from around the world - it really is in a class of its own and certainly appeals to the romantic at heart.
The hotel consists of just six double suites with spacious bathrooms; all furnished with fine antiques and decor from a bygone era as well as spacious balconies where guests can relax on reclining chairs and enjoy the sound of the soft classical music that is piped through the hotel's public areas.
At the end of a beautifully manicured garden is a heated swimming pool for that refreshing swim after a day out sight seeing (piped music in the pool for that extra touch!). For those wishing to indulge, there is a wellness spa offering a range of magical treatments.
Just 25 minutes from O.R. Tambo International Airport and five minutes from Pretoria Railway Station, a stay at Illyria House is ideal in combination with a luxury rail journey, wildlife safari or Indian Ocean Island retreat.
Personalized service, luxury as well as exquisite cuisine are all part of the Illyria House experience.
An added service which can be arranged is the special pre-dinner concerts where guests are entertained by world class pianists while enjoying a glass of sparkling wine and snacks.

| O.R Tambo Central Terminal building opens |
With the new Central Terminal Building now fully operational, OR Tambo International Airport has taken another step forward to being all set for Soccer World Cup in 2010.
Completion of the new departures level has marked the end of the final phase of construction of the new Central Terminal Building (CTB). With its 75 additional check-in counters, the new level will connect to the international and domestic departures check-in hall in what is now a consolidated multi-level terminal building.
In line with existing airport flow, departures activity will be predominantly on the upper level with arrivals activity on the ground level.
The mezzanines will offer retail facilities and basements will be in use for services and baggage handling.
The consolidation of the international and domestic terminals is expected to provide an improved experience to travelers, with the changes reducing congestion, improving queue management and making it easier to navigate their way around the airport building.
The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) are confident that construction at the airport will be complete by the time visitors start arriving for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
