Ivory Lodge - Place of Elephants

Ivory Lodge is a small intimate lodge that offers personal attention to just 12 guests. it is set on its own conservancy bordering Hwange National Park, the largest National Park in Zimbabwe and one of the best places for a safari experience. Hwange is also famous for its huge tuskers - big old bulls with magnificent tusks.

Sharon Pincot has researched and lived alongside the famous Presidential Elephant Herd of Hwange as well as identified and named almost 400 of the elephants in the Hwange Estate. The lodge is priviledged to have her staying there and she is available to accompany game drives with guests for what must be a truly unforgettable elephant encounter.

Ivory lodge is about nature - accommodation, in elevated en-suite rooms, has sweeping views of a waterhole that is floodlit at night. The hide-out next to the waterhole offers some incredible close-ups of the big 5 that frequent the pan. The central dining area, bar and library are set around the deep blue pool. Bush cuisine offers campfire barbeques under a massive blanket of stars. Winter evenings are spent around the boma area – a log fire “star gazing pit” which has a direct view to the floodlit pan, so nothing goes unseen…
