Central Region

This region offers a variety of outdoor facilities including game viewing (the Big 5), bird watching, hunting and fishing. There are also numerous Anglo-Boer War sites.

• Mafikeng - This city is an interesting mixture of colonial and modern Africa, and "a significant" place of interest for Anglo-Boer War enthusiast.
  
  
• Groot Marico - A little village home to a vibrant busy artistic community and also known for its Mampoer - an alcoholic beverage traditionally made from peaches.

Southern Region

This region consists of a never ending tapestry of green maize and yellow sunflower fields, alternated with bushveld plains, dotted with wild olive and umbrella thorn trees and an outdoor adventurer's paradise.

• Vredefort Dome -The dome is the site of the oldest and largest meteorite impact site in the world. The force of the impact opened up a crater, which is still visible and is about 40km in diameter.
