Saying goodbye to 2021!

Travel to Southern Africa had returned in the last quarter of 2021, but, as you know, was brought once more to a halt due to a new COVID variant. Whist the research and diligent sharing of this discovery by South African Scientists should have been commended, South Africa and the region was locked down instead. A bitter pill for us all to swallow and at the same time a testament to the South African Tourism community. We showed again that our willingness to accommodate, to support, to adapt and to put the traveller first was not just lip service, but something we all live by. In all of the turmoil that ensued,  Private Safaris ‘Book with confidence’ was once more put to the test, and passed with flying colours if I may say so… we managed once more, in cooperation with our partners, to waive all cancellation fees.

So, as we look back on a tumultuous second year of this pandemic,  I would like to thank all our partners in travel for their unwavering support. We know travel is resilient and we know travel, albeit slowly, will return!

Foremost I would like to thank you for continuing to allow us to not only create dream holidays, but also for making a difference in people’s lives on a daily basis. Travel, after all, allows for much-needed funding to reach communities and families. It allows us to give people a hand-up and for longstanding conservation and upliftment projects to continue!

What could be more meaningful! THANK YOU!

Wishing our partners both here and overseas a healthy and peaceful end to 2021 and we look forward to rebuilding together into 2022 and beyond.
